
JCC Children & Family Programs: Dungeons & Dragons Instructor
Job Type: Part-Time Position
Wage: $25-$40 hourly
Location: Prosserman JCC 4588 Bathurst Street, North York ON (Bathurst/Sheppard Area) and/or Schwartz/Reisman Centre (Bathurst/Rutherford Area)
We are seeking a creative, patient, and enthusiastic Dungeons & Dragons Instructor (Dungeon Master) to lead tabletop role-playing game sessions for children ages 5 and up. Our ideal candidate enjoys storytelling, collaboration, and teaching social skills through imaginative gameplay in a safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and run age-appropriate Dungeons & Dragons sessions
- Teach game rules, character creation, and basic role-playing concepts
- Guide children through collaborative storytelling and problem-solving
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and respectful play
- Adapt gameplay to different ages, experience levels, and group dynamics
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment
- Manage group behavior with patience and clear expectations
- Communicate with parents or staff as needed regarding progress and participation
What Do You Bring?
- Experience playing Dungeons & Dragons or similar tabletop role-playing games
- Experience working with children
- Strong storytelling and improvisation skills
- Patience, reliability, and enthusiasm
- Comfortable leading small groups of children
