We are seeking: ELEMENTARY GENERAL STUDIES CDL TEACHER LTO
Job Description:
The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and administrators, as well as grade partners and teams. The candidate must be knowledgeable in the subject matter and understand and apply a variety of approaches to instruction, including balanced instruction, assessments for, of and as learning and be able to implement a wide variety of instructional strategies. This role supports students with exceptionalities in resource settings, including in-class support, small-group instruction, and one-to-one withdrawal as required. Due to the flexible nature of the school environment, instructing in a whole class setting may be required at times.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Planning, instruction, assessment and evaluation
● Supporting program implementation using the Ontario Ministry curriculum and other resources
● Choosing appropriate and current resources that support the content in the program
● Facility with instructional technology including use of SMARTboard, Google Apps for Education and other Internet based educational programs
Candidates should be qualified in the particular area for the position they apply for. Primary/Junior classroom experience and OCT in good standing are essential.
Job Type: Part-Time, Contract
Location: Posluns Education Centre, 18 Neptune Drive, North York, ON (On-site)
Work Hours: 19.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, during morning hours.
Salary: $45,025 - $92,107, annually
