The Associate Director, Advancement will play a vital role in advancing the school’s fundraising and community engagement efforts. This person manages the fundraising database, ensures timely and accurate gift processing and acknowledgments, supports donor stewardship and reporting, and leverages data to strengthen relationships with families, alumni, and supporters. This is a hands-on, collaborative role ideal for a critical thinker who is creative, innovative, and enjoys making a visible impact.

- Maintaining Confidentiality & Donor Privacy
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in fundraising operations, advancement services, or database management, preferably in a nonprofit or school environment.
- Strong familiarity with current CRA tax receipt rules for charities
- Familiarity with a range of donor CRM systems and willingness for continued learning.
- Ability to produce advanced reports, exports, and query functions
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in GSuite/Google Workspace and in working with data, spreadsheets, and mail merges.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Familiarity with online fundraising platforms, social media platforms, and graphic design platforms/tools
- Mission-aligned and enthusiastic about Jewish education and community values.
- Experience with prospect research or fundraising analytics.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred:
- Experience working in a Jewish school, synagogue, or other Jewish organization.
- Experience working in a nonprofit setting
- Understanding of Jewish customs, calendar, and community dynamics.
- Marketing experience
- Experience with Veracross
- Excellent written communication skills with a high level of creativity
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week), Permanent
Location: Hurwich Education Centre, 252 Finch Ave. W, North York, ON (On-site)
Work Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday
Salary: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications
