The Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA) and the B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG) are a high school fraternity and sorority. With over 700 chapters in 60 countries around the world, there’s a home for you in BBYO! Each member is part of a chapter; it’s where you have meetings, plan programs, and hang with your friends. Local chapters meet regularly at locations across Greater Toronto and Hamilton.

BBYO Connect provides pre-high school students (Grades 6-8) with safe, enriching programming, fun activities and meaningful involvement in the community. At this crucial age, our programs bridge the gap between Bar/Bat Mitzvah and high school, giving younger teens an early opportunity to enjoy fulfilling Jewish experiences that build character as they build bonds of friendship. Events take place about once a month at various locations around the community.

Israel in Focus- High School Community Program 2023

UJA Genesis and UJA Israel Engagement

In celebration of UJA’s 54th annual Walk with Israel, UJA Genesis and Israel Engagement present Israel in Focus: High School Community Program. Participants in the program can obtain 18 community service hours through hands-on volunteer opportunities at the Walk with Israel, as well as fundraising for programs that support initiatives in our partner communities in Israel.

HBTeen March Break Israel Experience: Exploring the land through People and Places

March 11-19, 2023

Eligibility: all students in grades 9-12

Registration deadline: December 22.  After December 22 as space permits.

Cost: $6600 (includes airfare, all land costs and all meals) *some subsidies are available

Led by Lisa Isen Baumal and Rabbi Samuel Kaye, The Holy Blossom Teen Israel trip will be a unique and exciting opportunity for teens to engage with Israel and the people who live there.  Not only will we be touring and experiencing different sights and places, teens will also learn about the country directly from Israelis and engage in meaningful activities that have direct impact on individuals.
This trip is a great first taste of Israel, and equally meaningful as a return trip!  

Join us for an information session, Monday, November 28th at 8:30pm (in person at HBT) to learn more, hear a sample itinerary, and ask questions.

The Jerusalem Journey Ambassadors Poland (TJJ AP)

TJJ Ambassadors Poland (TJJ AP) is a four-week program where teens spend a week in Poland for one week reflecting on Jewish history in Europe and the role of the Holocaust in the creation of Jewish identity. Afterward, teens travel to Israel and tour the land through the lens of Jewish thought, history, and leadership.

Arevim enables young Jewish adults (18-22 years old) to enlist in a long-term volunteer program, strengthening their connection to Israel, reflecting on their Jewish identity, and living independently in Tel Aviv. Hevruta Gap year Program

Hevruta Gap-Year Program is a pluralistic program in the heart of Jerusalem. The program is open to high school graduates (applicants must be in their final year of high school) from all over Israel and North America, from religious and secular backgrounds, who represent a variety of worldviews. Hevruta’s goal is to demonstrate how a community that celebrates learning and social engagement can promote tolerant dialogue in the Jewish world by generating a positive identity discourse based on shared aims and beliefs. Hevruta operates according to three guiding principles – learning, social engagement, and community life.
