PJ Library is an award-winning outreach program committed to increasing and deepening Jewish identity and connection by providing resources like free, high-quality Jewish children's books, and special curricular school and community programs to families raising Jewish children. Through PJ programs, parents and children are sharing special moments together reading and talking about the Jewish concepts and ideas presented by the PJ books and programs.
PJ Library, now active in York Region, Toronto and Peel Region, is a program of UJA Federation
Thanks to the support of UJA, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, and generous local donors, 60% of children in the GTA get a free PJ library book in the mail each month. That’s over 9,000 children subscribed.
From public spaces to Jewish places, PJ Library programs attract preschoolers, parents, bubbies and zaidies and give families an opportunity to meet and interact in a relaxed environment.
