About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a creative, digitally knowledgeable, and social media-savvy leader for the position of Senior Director, Digital Marketing. Reporting to UJA’s Vice President, Communications and Marketing, this role will lead the development of a digital-first marketing strategy and oversee a team of technical specialists and social media professionals to execute.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Exercise oversight and ownership of UJA’s entire digital marketing efforts
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals across a range of digital skillsets, including technical, analytical, social media, and creative talents
  • Recruit, motivate, develop and retain talent to deliver impactful results; champion a flexible, agile and inclusive work environment, prioritizing health and well-being of team
  • Develop a new, digital-first mass marketing strategy for UJA, as well as a roadmap for bringing this strategy to life across the organization
  • Oversee the development of a sophisticated approach to digital segmenting, ad targeting, SEO, and conversion, with a focus on measuring ROI and leveraging data and analytics to maximize results
  • Lead the creation of a compelling and content-rich social media strategy to increase engagement and affinity with UJA, while driving fundraising and programmatic results
  • Oversee the full scope of digital marketing operations on a day-to-day basis, including management of UJA’s websites, social media channels, digital newsletters, email invitations, SEO, and digital ads
  • Work closely with external vendors as well as relevant UJA departments to ensure the full integration of digital marketing with the range of UJA’s CRM and applications tools
  • Assess digital marketing trends and best practices in order to leverage the latest techniques to continually elevate UJA’s digital impact
  • Operate within a flexible, agile, and inclusive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or other relevant fields
  • 7+ years of digital experience with a record of developing strategy, leading a team, and overseeing the full range of creative and technical requirements for a sophisticated digital campaign
  • Previous experience managing and developing talent; passionate about helping people learn and grow
  • Deep understanding of marketing and brand, as well as best practices and emerging trends in social media and digital engagement
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook (and IG) business manager and ads manager, being able to optimize social ads campaigns from A to Z
  • Strong knowledge of Google Ads campaign set up, management and optimization
  • Proficiency with email marketing concepts, structure, and platforms, preferably Pardot and Campaign Monitor
  • Proficiency in SEO, including using Google Analytics/G4 to create reports, derive insights, and inform marketing decisions
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to be proactive and prioritize in light of shifting needs and developments
  • Familiarity with the Toronto Jewish community is considered an asset
  • Digital portfolio is considered an asset, with an emphasis on strategy and content

This is a full-time permanent position.
