Reconciliation depends upon truth. Are you willing to listen?

The National Film Board of Canada and Oraynu Congregation for Humanistic Judaism welcome Alanis Obomsawin, the internationally acclaimed Indigenous director, for a special showing of her award-winning documentary “TRICK OR TREATY?”. Monday, November 7th at 7:00 pm at the Al Green Theatre, Miles Nadal JCC.

This powerful film portrays an Indigenous community’s attempts to protect their lands. Their confrontations with government and the oft-absurd maze of legal manoeuvres required by their quest for justice are all glaringly revealed.

An introduction by Anishinaabe broadcaster, author and arts leader Jesse Wente and a Q&A with Ms. Obomsawin, a true Canadian treasure, make this a spectacular evening.

Evening sponsored by Oraynu member Susan McLeod
