Please join us for this special opportunity to meet with the Hostages and Missing Families Forum on Sunday, November 17 from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
Oraynu Congregation for Humanistic Judaism is honoured to host an online guided tour of Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, followed by the opportunity to explore the events of October 7, 2023 through the personal stories of those directly affected.
Our one-hour session will begin with a virtual tour of Hostages Square in Tel Aviv. This public square in front of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art has been the home base for families and supporters of the hostages for the past year, and is the site of weekly rallies, as well as a number of art installations and banners which honour the hostages and call for their release.
Following our virtual tour, a family member of one of the hostages remaining in captivity, or a released hostage, will speak to our group openly about their experiences on October 7 and beyond. To conclude the session, the audience will have a chance to directly ask questions and engage in a heartfelt conversation with the speaker.
The session is being offered by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum. This mission of the Forum, which launched #BringThemHomeNow, prioritizes the return of the hostages from Gaza, provides medical, emotional, and psychological support to the families of the hostages, and works to establish international criminal accountability against Hamas. For those interested in supporting the work of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, please visit https://stories.bringthemhomenow.net/donate.
We encourage you to join us for what is sure to be a unique, powerful and moving event. The session is offered free of charge and you are welcome to invite your friends and family to attend, as well. Pre-registration is required at https://www.oraynu.org/upcoming-events/. We look forward to having you with us on November 17.
