A Temple Sinai Program — 2015/2016 Ben Steinberg Musical Legacy Award Winner, Ron Cohen Mann, Oboist and English Hornist

Temple Sinai is proud to announce the winner of the 2015/2016 Ben Steinberg Musical Legacy Award: Ron Cohen Mann. In its 32nd year, the award was established to encourage the careers of young Jewish artists in the Canadian community as well as the performance of music by Jewish composers. Ron Cohen Mann is the winner of the Yamaha Young Performing Artists Competition 2013 and maintains an active solo and chamber music schedule through frequent recitals. This coveted award was named after Ben Steinberg in 1996 when he retired as Temple Sinai’s Director of Music after 26 years. Our congregation is proud of this exciting project, which has helped so many young Jewish musicians over the years to launch their professional careers and make significant contributions to the Canadian and Jewish musical scenes.
