Author Jenny Witterick will be speaking at Thornhill Lodge B’nai Brith about her novel, which is based on the true story of a brave Roman Catholic woman, Francizska Halamajowa and her daughter, Helena, who sheltered two families and a German soldier in their small farmhouse in Sokol, Poland, during World War II.
