Jacob Steinberg

October 17

Celebrating 388 years of Jewish life in Suriname: Jacob Steinberg presents the fascinating history of the oldest
continuously existing Jewish community in the Americas: Suriname in South America. From the first settlers in the old capital Torarica (1639) to Jodensavanne (200 year-old Jewish community in the Amazon basin jungle) ending with the Jewish community in Suriname today.
