The debate will be modeled on Intelligence Squared, the BBC show, a debate format show where the audience is polled on a topic, debaters go head to head and the audience is polled again following the debate to see how their opinions have been changed.

Confirmed debaters include Jennifer Keesmaat, Adam Vaughan, Councillor Ana Bailao and Mazyar Mortazavi, (TAS Design/Build). This debate style format is not being set up to be government vs developers.

The event will begin at 7:00pm with a reception including refreshments and a musical performance by singer/songwriter and affordable housing advocate Dominique Grant.

Last year’s panel topic was “Are we finally ready to Build Real Affordable Housing” and panelists included Steve Diamond, Jennifer Keesmaat, Adam Vaughan, Ken Greenberg with Senator Linda Frum as moderator. It was a huge success!
