Beyond These Walls: Escaping the Warsaw Ghetto – A Young Girl’s Story
Lydia Bauman, remembering her mother, the writer Janina Bauman (nee Lewinson 1926-2009), considers the values, personality traits, and strategies that enabled her mother to emerge from the horrors of the Warsaw ghetto, antisemitism, and the state corruption of post-war Communist Poland.
Lydia’s account is based on her mother’s own wartime and post-war diaries, later transformed into ” Beyond These Walls”.
