52 Weeks of Food

Help UJA Women’s Philanthropy feed Toronto this March

With International Women’s Day on March 8th, UJA Women’s Philanthropy has partnered with UJA Genesis to help address our most urgent local challenge: Hunger.

Whether you’ve already contributed to 52 Weeks of Food, or this is your first time, join us this March to maximize the impact of the women in our community. Our goal? To collect 8,000 pounds of non-perishable food by the end of the month. We also welcome contributions of gift cards to any grocery store that offers kosher food.

We’ve seen the impact of Women’s Philanthropy through a single food drive. We cannot wait to see what we will achieve when we come together all month to feed those in need.

What can you do?

If running a non-perishable food drive, collect a minimum of 8,000 lbs. of healthy kosher food/essential supplies. Select a drop-off location (available by date) where you will bring all the donations you receive. Then, get the word out to your network so you can start collecting! Click here for a list of some of the items most needed.

If collecting grocery gift cards, choose from any grocery store that offers kosher food and start purchasing gift cards in any denomination that you like. Let your network know what you’re up to and ask them to participate! You will bring all the gift cards that you have collected to the drop-off location you selected when registering.
