We have only been in this job a few months but have already seen the overwhelming desire of our community to be counted and to give. The positive response received when we solicit volunteers to participate and canvass for United Jewish Appeal’s Centennial Campaign has been so generous and inspiring. The wonderful and capable work of Federation and agency professionals is augmented with the energetic and loving efforts of volunteers.

UJA Federation unites Jewish Toronto. It is where we all help and are helped, give and receive, mentor and apprentice. It is where the community combines its collective strengths to fulfill its important needs and aspirations. We galvanize the community to care for the vulnerable, maintain a leadership role in Jewish education, forge connections with Israel, advocate on behalf of Israel and the Jewish People, and inspire future generations to embrace Jewish life. This agenda can only be realized with the meaningful contribution of our talented and dedicated volunteers.

If you have already enlisted, thank you. If you have not, please do. We need you. It is our Centennial Campaign and that means we have a one-hundred-year history of strengthening the quality of Jewish life in Canada, Israel and around the world. Volunteerism is part of the bedrock of our success. Please consider devoting 1, 10 or 100 hours of your time to UJA Telethons, the Walk with Israel, Campaign or one of our UJA Federation’s 100-plus community beneficiary agencies.
