SHERMAN CAMPUS

The 27-acre Sherman Campus on Bathurst Street, north of Sheppard Avenue, is a vibrant and thriving hub of Jewish life for families, seniors, teens, and everyone in between. It is home to UJA Federation, located in the Lipa Green Centre for Jewish Community Services along with other partner agencies such as Jewish Family & Child Service, Jewish Immigrant Aid Services (JIAS) Toronto, Jewish Free Loan Toronto, and the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre (Prosserman JCC).

The Donald Gales Family Building, constructed in 2009, along with the new Sheff Family Building, are going to house Prosserman JCC programming which includes health and fitness, arts and culture, and early childhood education. The Sheff Family Building, which marks the final phase of the 20-year Tomorrow Campaign, will also be home to the future renewed Holocaust Education Centre.

The redeveloped campus proudly boasts new spaces, including: a multi-purpose theatre with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment and 320 retractable seats; three salt-water swimming pools, one of which will be outdoors alongside a splash pad; as well as an atrium with a kosher café and sitting area. The Campus offers community members many health and fitness opportunities with its brand-new cardio and weight training facilities, steam and sauna rooms, outdoor sports courts, park and walking trails, and gymnasium that has a full basketball court and second-floor running track.

The Tomorrow Campaign has been made possible thanks to the generous support of visionary donors who want to create a lasting, vibrant Jewish community.
