The Joy of Giving Back

UJA’s Littlest Volunteer program teaches the next generation about tzedakah, compassion, and what it means to be active member of our community.

On Sunday, May 24, we are running the biggest Littlest Volunteer event of the year: A Day of Giving Back. Here, our youngest community members will attend 12 stations being run by community organizations, including Circle of Care, Kayla’s Children Centre, and Chasdei Kaduri Jewish Food Bank.

At each station, they will participate in a hands-on volunteer activity that shows what it means—and how good it feels—to give back to others. Whether it’s making mezuzahs for Canadian newcomers or packing comfort items for those experiencing hardship, participants will learn about the work of these agencies and what it means to volunteer their time for the needs of others—just like these kids getting ready for the big event.

No prior participation in Littlest Volunteer events is required. Register below to let your kids see firsthand how their actions can make a difference to strengthen the community around them.
