Earlier this week, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto approved an emergency grant of $1,000,000 to the Jewish Agency for Israel's Fund for Victims of Terror. This grant will provide immediate support, as well as longer-term financial assistance, in Israel for bereaved families, injured individuals, and families whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by Iranian missiles. The funds will also enable group and community interventions, in partnership with municipalities, for evacuees and families who have lost their homes, including resilience-building support, and targeted assistance for particularly vulnerable populations affected by the war, including elderly residents and children.
