Search intensifies for missing Toronto teen

As the official police Level One search for missing Toronto teen Esther (“Esti”) enters its second week, hundreds of community members have stepped up to distribute updated posters across the city. Volunteers have been canvassing bus stops, subway stations, shopping malls, and downtown office towers. Many have expressed concern and outrage after posters were torn down, drawing comparisons to earlier incidents of defaced hostage posters following October 7th.

The search has now expanded beyond North York, with Esti's image also appearing at major public events. Police confirmed she was seen near Bathurst Street and Hotspur Road around midnight on Saturday, May 16, roughly two kilometres south of Earl Bales Park, where she was first reported to have fled. She left without her phone, shoes, or a coat. Police have also released a new photo of her, showing her in grey sweatpants and a green top. Toronto police have set up a dedicated website, FindEsther, to collect tips and information that could assist in locating her. Tips can also be reported by phone at 647-355-4148.
