JCC Maccabi Games® & Access inspire Jewish pride in Toronto

Last week, Toronto hosted the 2026 JCC Maccabi Games® & Access, the world’s argest athletic event for Jewish youth. More than 2,000 teenage athletes aged 13–17, representing 75 communities across North America—as well as delegations from Israel, Europe, and South America—participated in Olympic-style sporting events and activities that build Jewish pride and community. In addition to competing, athletes participated in Holocaust education programs, the JCC Cares volunteering initiative, and social events designed to nurture Jewish leadership and build lifelong friendships. Athletes left Toronto with greater confidence, new friendships, and a deeper connection to their Jewish identity that will stay with them far past the conclusion of their athletic careers. UJA Federation of Greater Toronto was proud to be a presenting sponsor of this year’s games, helping create a meaningful experience that strengthened connections among the next generation.
