Israeli filmmaker Avi Nesher’s latest film, Our Loves, will have its world premiere in the Centrepiece programme at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Inspired by the events of October 7th and its aftermath, the fictional drama follows seven interconnected characters whose lives are transformed by tragedy, hope, and resilience. The film has also earned 12 Ophir Award nominations (Israel's top film honours) ahead of its September release in Israel. Its selection for TIFF’s Centrepiece programme marks a major international showcase for Israeli storytelling on one of the world’s leading film stages.
