Marking the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of “A Light in the Darkness”

Twenty-five years ago, Aaron Zevy—an author and Toronto community member—wrote A Light in the Darkness. This touching children’s book takes place during Hanukkah, and follows a young boy rallying neighbours to support his Jewish friend after a rock is thrown through his window.

All these years later, the message of the book seems more relevant than ever today. “People see the story now and feel it really resonates—and are shocked when they find out it was written 25 years ago!” Aaron shared.

With Hanukkah coming up, there has been massively increased interest around the book. After many requests, Aaron felt it was the perfect time to republish it—including a free giveaway of the Kindle edition from December 2-5. Get your free copy on Amazon Kindle here! It is also available in other formats, along with a variety of other books from Aaron Zevy. Learn more about the book here.
