Learning to Navigate Campus Antisemitism

The weekend of May 2nd-4th, high schoolers from seven Ontario school boards attended our Campus Ready Retreat, presented by Makom, an initiative of The Jewish Agency For Israel, in partnership with UJA Israel Engagement and UJA's Julia & Henry Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education. With Jewish students facing unprecedented levels of antisemitism on university campuses, the retreat helped equip them with an understanding of the challenges they may face on campus, the skills to be proud Jewish students and advocates for Israel, and a network of supportive peers and mentors. The retreat was part of the Campus Ready initiative, which helps prepare students for to navigate the campus environment. Other Campus Ready events have included professional development for educators in three public school boards and a parents’ evening.
