More than two hundred community members gathered this week for a special 25th anniversary screening of award-winning film Sunshine. The event also featured a Q&A with the film’s producer Robert Lantos.
The film tells the story of three generations of a Jewish Hungarian family, as they rise above their humble origins to positions of wealth and power, only to fall victim to the events which defined Europe over the past century. The screening was co-hosted and co-sponsored by the Embassy of Hungary to Canada. Participating partners included UJA, the Toronto Holocaust Museum, Serendipity Point Films, and Stand With Us Canada.
