This week, UJA Israel Engagement and our advocacy agent the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) welcomed 100+ educators, parents, and students for two conferences on fighting antisemitism in the school system.
The Parent Educator Conference and the Jewish Student Summit were aimed at giving families and educators—in both private and public schools—the knowledge and skills needed to face the rise in antisemitism.
Participants gained Israel education and learned how to combat antisemitism in the school system, how to access UJA and community resources for assistance, and how to report antisemitism in school and in the community. They heard from a variety of speakers and participated in activities and workshops, all with the aim of giving them the tools to navigate today’s changing landscapes.
If you are a parent or educator interested in learning more, please reach out to Jenna Potash at jpotash@ujafed.org.
Thank you to the partners and organizations that participated, including PJ Library Toronto, UJA’s Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education, the Toronto Holocaust Museum, CJPAC, Stand With Us, and Allied Voices for Israel.
