Adam Minsky is the president and chief executive officer of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, beginning his service in 2016 at age 45. Prior to becoming CEO, Adam was deeply involved with Federation and its affiliated partner organizations throughout his career.
Adam’s leadership extends well past Toronto’s borders, as he played an integral role in the founding of many important national initiatives, including the creation of the Canada Israel Experience and its Birthright Israel programs.
For more than a decade, Adam has dedicated himself to strengthening the strategic impact of UJA Federation through its network of local, national, and international agencies.
In 2013, Adam was honoured to receive the Gordon Wolfe Award for Professional Leadership in recognition of his ability to lead with vision, integrity, Jewish values, and humility.
Adam is married to Heidi Brown, a Toronto lawyer, and they have three children.
Ken Tanenbaum is the founder and chairman of Kilmer Developments, which has had a leading role in the construction and operations of such transformational projects as the ONroute Highway Service Centres, Pan Am Athletes’ Village, Brightwater at Port Credit, and the West Don Lands Rental Housing program. He is also the chairman of Kilmer Brownfield, which is committed to creating value by remediating and repositioning contaminated land. Ken also serves as executive chairman of Coca-Cola Canada Bottling and as vice-chairman of Kilmer Van Nostrand, a family holding company with interests in sports and media, private equity, and real estate and infrastructure.
Ken has a long history of volunteer leadership with many organizations. He is passionate about the promise of Canada and is committed to aligning Kilmer’s business interests with building healthy cities and vibrant communities.
Ken brings extensive Jewish community leadership experience to the role of chair. This includes previously serving as a member of the Board and then, most recently, as vice-chair of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. For UJA, Ken serves on the Integrated Development Committee, and he co-chaired the Bay Street Cabinet, the Business Cabinet, and UJA’s 2010 Annual Campaign. Ken was a Fischer Fellow and a member of the UJC National Young Leadership Cabinet.
Ken lives in Toronto with his wife, Jennifer, and their four adult children.
