The Reverse Shinshinim Year of Service in Eilat is an elite program available to a select group of high school graduates from the GTA. Shinshinim will have the unique and exciting opportunity
to spend a gap year in the community of Eilat-Eilot, volunteering in social welfare, traveling Israel,
and connecting with other Year of Service participants around Israel for meaningful programming. Preference will be given to Diller Alumni.
This program aims to:
Furthering the relationship between Israel and the Diaspora
Offer select teens the chance to live and experience their partner community of Eilat
Form strong bonds with Diller Israel Fellows, and make life-long friendships
Make a difference in needy communities
Travel and experience Israel like a local
Gain leadership and independence skills
During this Year of Service, the Partnership2Gether program of the Jewish Agency and the Jewish Federation of Toronto bring you an authentic meeting with Israeli society, a connection to heritage and culture combined with volunteering and personal empowerment. All this will contribute to expanding your personal toolbox that will serve you on your path to the world of tomorrow, to upgrading your abilities and personal independence and to strengthening your Jewish identity and your connection to Israel and Israelis, to the people of Israel and the Jewish people.
For high school graduates aged 18-20, who have not previously done a gap year experience. Preference will be given to Diller Alumni, however other candidates will be considered. Participants must meet additional eligibility criteria.
What is included: Housing, insurance, SIM, trips in Israel, and the cost: $1500 deposit plus flight
