Travel has never been easier — no passport, no packing, no luggage, no lines. UJA Women’s Philanthropy invites you to join us for a virtual city tour of your choice.

Choose to experience the highlights of Prague by entering Europe’s oldest functioning synagogue and explore a 600-year-old Jewish cemetery.

Or, discover the hidden Jewish history of Majorca and trace the footsteps of the medieval Jews who once walked the narrow alleyways of the Jewish Quarter.

Please register for this event by 5:00 PM on June 9th to receive a special lunch comprised of your chosen city's native delicacies.

Eager to experience both destinations? Recordings of the tours will be available for a limited time after the event.

For more information, please contact Naomi Waserman at nwaserman@ujafed.org

TOUR GUIDES

Dani Rotstein, Majorca Tour Guide

Dani Rotstein is a film producer, history-teller, Rikud-aholic, and community organizer living in the Balearic Islands of Spain. Originally from New Jersey, he moved to Majorca in 2014, where he learned of the taboo history of the Conversos or Chuetas native to the island. Since then, he has made it his life’s passion to continue exploring, uncovering, and sharing this interesting piece of little-known Jewish history. He believes that the revival of modern Jewish life in Spain can be a shining light to the rest of the world.

Bonita Rhoads, Prague Tour Guide

Bonita Rhoads earned her PhD in Comparative Literature from Yale University in 2009. She was a lecturer at Charles University in Prague and an assistant professor at Masaryk University in Brno for a decade before leaving university teaching to run her scholar-led guided walks company, Insight Cities. A native of New York City, Bonita moved to Prague in 2003 with her husband, Vadim, co-founder of Insight Cities. Her delight in her remarkable adopted city led her to become a dedicated student of Prague’s cultural and political history.

Nina Oliberiusova, Prague Tour Guide

Nina Oliberiusova graduated from Charles University with a PhD in Jewish Studies in 2012. She has always been a passionate student of the history, religion, politics, architecture, and art of her native Bohemia, so it was logical for her to become a specialist guide. Nina focuses on giving a wonderful range of private and small group tours of Czech history and its many complexities to travelers. Besides her range of walks in Prague, she takes groups to many sites and towns throughout the Czech Republic.
