Gil Troy is a political historian, professor at McGill University, and a Research Fellow in the Shalom Hartman Institute's Engaging Israel Program. He is also a published author; his works including eight books on the American presidency, and five books on Israel and Zionism.
His latest publication, 'Never Alone: Prison, Politics, and My People', was co-authored with Natan Sharansky and includes a foreword written by President Isaac Herzog.
A weekly columnist for The Jerusalem Post, Troy's writings have also appeared in The New York Times, The New Republic, and other major media outlets.
