Join us for “Promoting Well-Being and Resiliency Among Family Caregivers,” the latest session in the One Community Cares: Knowledge Exchange speaker series.

 

The webinar will examine the complex challenges faced by caregivers, as well as the impact on their overall well-being. It will provide insights into the stressors that caregivers encounter and the resilience strategies that can help them sustain their roles.

 

Attendees will conclude the session with a deeper understanding of how to connect caregivers with appropriate resources, support their mental and physical health, and advocate for sustainable solutions within their practice.

SPEAKERS

Elinor Gal-Yakoby, MSW, RSW, Circle of Care

Elinor is a clinician with 20 years of experience in the field of social work. She is a professional practice lead and a community social worker at Circle of Care, where she supports seniors and their families through crisis intervention, system navigation, case management, counselling, and caregiver support. Additionally, Elinor co-facilitates caregiver support groups, providing a safe space for family members who care for aging loved ones.

Elinor’s career spans international settings, where she has worked with diverse populations, including seniors, families, couples, individual adults, and youth. She specializes in clinical mental health support using a client-centred, and strengths-based approach to empower clients and enhance their well-being. She provides services in both English and Hebrew.

Maria Valle Perez, MSW, RSW, Circle of Care

Maria is a social worker care navigator at Circle of Care, with 10+ years of experience providing client-centred care to clients and family caregivers. Her experience includes case management, crisis intervention, counselling, and group work. Maria works with clients experiencing complex medical issues and psychosocial challenges, assisting them with system navigation and linkage to community support services.

Maria uses a diverse approach of therapeutic modalities with clients to help maximize their full potential. She provides services in both English and Spanish.
