Shayna Pilc is a social worker based in the Greater Toronto Area with experience in health care and community-based social services. She currently works for Circle of Care and with the University Health Network Independence at Home Team. She has worked in clinical and supportive care settings, including Long Term Care, in support of individuals and families navigating complex health, psychosocial, and system-related challenges.
Shayna has specialized experience working with older adults and caregivers, providing counselling, stress management support, care coordination, and resource navigation. Her work includes facilitating psychoeducational and support groups focused on coping strategies, mental well-being, and enhancing quality of life for community members.
Shayna holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Toronto, and is known for her collaborative, client-centred approach grounded in empathy, evidence-based practice, and advocacy within multidisciplinary health care teams.
Cathy Tan is a community social worker working for Circle of Care. She received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Windsor with a specialized focus on health care. Cathy has a wealth of experience working with older adults and caregivers in various clinical and community health care settings, including Long Term Care, subacute rehab, adult day programs, and in the community. Cathy utilizes an evidence-based holistic approach to health care. She focuses on incorporating mindfulness into her therapeutic practices to help clients navigate difficult transitions.
Cathy has facilitated psychoeducational workshops and support groups focusing on low mood, anxiety, mindfulness, and caregiving support. She recently completed the CARERS training and facilitates a group for caregivers of individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairment to provide practical and communication skills for navigating their caregiving journey.
