Jewish TO Mental Health Champions

Educators, spiritual leaders and Jewish identity professionals are among those that see it the most – community members in their moments of need or beginning to struggle with their mental health.  Sometimes it is clear and sometimes there are subtle signs.  As a community, we can deepen our ability to provide a basic, but needed level of mental health support for the people we are here to serve.  UJA wants to partner with you to do this.

This summer, UJA will cover the cost of accredited Mental Health First Aid training for Jewish community educators, spiritual leaders and campus professionals by reimbursing the cost by up to $200. (this will cover 100% of the cost in most instances).

This initiative is geared towards individuals without a professional background in mental health support.

How it works:

  1. Find an online or in-person Mental Health First Aid course (basic/standard, supporting youth, supporting older adults) that works for you using this website
  2. Use the request form below and indicate the program you are interested in
  3. Once you have received approval, complete your chosen course and submit your proof of registration by using the reimbursement form
  4. Receive reimbursement up to $200
