The Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program


The Azrieli Foundation


Audience: Educators


Offers free memoirs that were written by Holocaust survivors who moved to Canada after the war. Many of the 11+ and 14+ memoirs have accompanying educational materials including biography activities and themed programs. Materials include themes such as Hidden Children and Identity, Rescue and the Righteous Among the Nations, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the Human Experience of Auschwitz. Students may also engage with a survivor via a virtual or in-person presentation, in a Q&A style format, facilitated by a member of our education team.
