Susan Harris, M.S.W M.B.A, President and CEO of Executive coaching Associates

Since 1998, Susan Harris has been the President and CEO of Executive Coaching Associates. She is a consultant with more than 25 years of experience coaching and advising senior executives and law partners, designing and implementing effectiveness programmes for their firms. Susan has worked with over fifty organizations in her capacity as Executive Coach.
Susan’s career includes serving as Vice President, Organizational Development for MDS Inc., Quality/ Organizational Effectiveness Advisor with Shell Canada Limited, and as Senior Consultant with Clarkson Gordon/Woods Gordon. Susan holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto. Her undergraduate degree is from McGill University. Susan sits on two volunteer Boards and supports many charities.

Kim Smiley

Kim Smiley is igniting a compassion and fashion revolution. Harvard-educated fashion designer, empathy educator & artist, Kim has attracted international media attention for “stitching together fashion with social justice.”

After serving as a senior executive in the nonprofit sector for over a decade, Kim debuted her fashion brand at World MasterCard Fashion Week in 2014. A social entrepreneur, she employs newcomers with training, work experience and a living wage, and gives a portion of every sale to charity. Kim launched The Empathy Effect, a social experiment, in 2015. It has since snowballed into a social movement to galvanize empathy in public and private life.

Dubbed the “Queen of Empathy,” Kim is spreading beauty with a purpose, inspiring over 260,000 followers in over 75 countries. In October 2020, Kim is opening a flagship store on Eglinton Avenue West.

Jillian Tishman is a Consultant with TDS Personnel, a full-cycle recruitment agency in Toronto. Jillian joined TDS, an agency founded 45 years ago, after spending nearly a decade in the Insurance industry. Coming from a science background with degrees in Kinesiology, and Prosthetics & Orthotics, Jillian has a natural curiosity which lends itself to conversation and developing the bigger picture. A relationship builder with strong communication skills, her diverse background and experience makes her relatable to candidates and a partner to her clients. She understands what candidates are looking for in a role from their current or prospective employers, and what motivates them to make a move, or to stay put. Jillian recruits across all industries and at every level. Jillian digs in and learns what she can about the industry she is sourcing for and she quickly gets herself up to speed. She listens intently to her clients’ needs and sources top talent to ensure the right fit. Jillian has established herself in being a reputable recruiter in the short while having successfully staffed talent at several A-list clients in Toronto.

Jillian frequently speaks to postgraduate students and to associations about talent, trends in the industry and taking a chance on yourself.
