Adam Bresver

Adam Bresver is the Director of Wealth Management at GFI Investment Counsel. He joined the firm in 2013 and became a partner in 2019.   

GFI is focused on preserving and growing capital for the families we work with. Understanding that all of our clients have unique needs, GFI offers customized investment management and financial planning services with an unwavering focus on client service.  

GFI currently works with more than 300 families, trusts and corporations – managing more than $1.1 billion in assets.  Our principals and their families are significant investors, investing directly alongside our clients.  

Prior to joining GFI, Adam spent six years working with two independent investment banking firms in Toronto, where he was focused on raising capital for emerging companies across a number of different sectors. Adam completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree at Dalhousie University in 2004.  

Adam enjoys giving back to the community and is currently a co-chair of the Barrie2Baycrest (B2B), a community bike ride that raises money for Baycrest Foundation.  

In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing hockey, golf, and spending time with his wife and 3 boys.

Ayelet Klaczkowski

Ayelet is responsible for the operations, execution and value creation strategies across KingSett's real estate portfolio, primarily focusing on Toronto's downtown core office.

Prior to moving to the asset management team, Ayelet was a Manager of Finance at KingSett responsible for the accounting, reporting and budgeting for a portfolio of properties.

Prior to joining KingSett Capital, Ayelet was a Senior Financial Analyst with Cadillac Fairview. She worked in the Corporate Financial Reporting group reporting to the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Her responsibilities included overseeing the financial and management reporting for a diverse portfolio of both real estate and non-real estate assets.

Ayelet holds a Bachelor of Management and Organization Studies from the University of Western Ontario and also holds a CPA, CA designation.

Matthew Getzler

Matthew is a Partner in the Tax and Wills & Estates Groups. His Tax practice focuses on a broad range of domestic and international tax planning, primarily for owner-managers and other private corporations. He has particular expertise in succession and estate planning for family businesses and their related corporate groups, corporate reorganizations, cross-border transactions, and tax planning for larger multi-national corporations. His Wills & Estates practice focuses on personal/corporate tax and estate planning, with particular expertise in cross-border planning and post-mortem tax planning. He has been named a 2019 Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyer Under 40.

Matthew’s business background (specifically his MBA where he focused on accounting) provides him with a practical and entrepreneurial approach to tax and estate planning and enables him to provide clients with a uniquely comprehensive plan that combines both tax and business benefits.

Matthew’s love of numbers, especially statistics, is quite evident through his passion for baseball. He makes annual pilgrimages to some of North America’s most historic fields and is an avid participant in various baseball leagues.
