Promotes understanding of a unique educational concept dealing with underprivileged boys.

Boys Town was founded in 1948 by a Brooklyn born rabbi, Rabbi Alexander S. Linchner, in order to provide a haven for those children who survived the Holocaust and for the children of the masses of destitute Jews who poured into Israel from countries around the world. The school prepares them to rebuild the Jewish State with both technological skills and the values of our sacred heritage. Boys Town Jerusalem has grown into one of Israel's largest and most respected educational institutions. Its modern 18-acre campus in the Bayit Vegan neighbourhood of Jerusalem is one of Israel's major technological centres.

Over 1,000 students study and live on the Boys Town Jerusalem campus. Their families originate from 45 countries and 6 continents, and they live in over 140 communities throughout Israel.
