Cross-Canada PJ Library Program Inspires Kids

Last Sunday, more than 125 PJ Library families across Canada gathered online for the first-ever nationwide PJ Library & PJ Our Way virtual program. The event was organized and hosted by PJ Library managers from Atlantic Canada, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.

Participants learned about the Israeli connection to space travel through the Ramon Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting space industry entrepreneurs; Rakia, the mission to send the second-ever Israeli astronaut to space; as well as the Big Dream Challenge, a program of the Ramon Foundation, which collects artwork submitted by children around the world and sends it into space. Families also learned how to make their own rocket ships using materials found around the house, through a hands-on workshop by MadScience

The event was a great opportunity for PJ Library subscribers to get to know their local program representatives. It was wonderful to see so many families from communities across the country come together for a fun and educational program. We hope our PJ Library Toronto participants had a “blast”!
