Job Type: Part-Time (15 to 30 hours)
Rate of Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour
Location: Prosserman Jewish Community Centre, 4588 Bathurst St, North York, ON
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM

Are you enthusiastic about pickleball and enjoy creating positive experiences for others?
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Pickleball Attendant to support our growing pickleball programming at the Prosserman JCC. In this role, you’ll help ensure our pickleball sessions run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. From preparing courts and welcoming participants to supporting player rotations and monitoring on-court activities, you’ll play an important role in creating an organized and enjoyable experience for everyone.
You’ll also serve as a helpful point of contact for participants, answering basic questions, reinforcing program guidelines, and helping ensure facility procedures and pickleball rules are followed.

What You’ll Do
- Set Up & Take Down Courts – Set up and take down pickleball nets and other equipment before and after scheduled programming.
- Maintain Safe & Ready Courts – Ensure courts and equipment are properly prepared and safe for participants before each session.
- Support Participant Check-In – Welcome participants, assist with check-in, and help ensure an organized start to each session.
- Coordinate Court Rotations – Help manage player rotations and court usage to keep sessions organized, fair, and running on schedule.
- Monitor On-Court Activities – Support the smooth operation of programming and help participants understand basic pickleball rules and program expectations.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service – Create a welcoming environment by providing friendly, professional, and helpful support to participants.
- Address Operational Issues – Respond to basic concerns as they arise, escalate issues when appropriate, and complete incident reports when required.
- Support Events & Programs – Assist with pickleball events, tournaments, and specialty programming as assigned.
What You Bring
- Knowledge of pickleball rules, gameplay, and court etiquette is preferred.
- Previous experience in recreation, sports, fitness, customer service, or a similar environment is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with participants of different ages and skill levels.
- Ability to confidently explain and reinforce program guidelines and basic pickleball rules.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to help manage multiple courts and participant rotations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to safely set up, move, and take down pickleball nets and related equipment.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification is considered an asset.
