
Job Opportunity: One-on-One Shadow & Classroom Assistant
Location: Temple Sinai Community Preschool, 210 Wilson Avenue, Toronto
Status: Full-Time, start date immediately
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and responsible individual to join our team as a One-on-One Shadow. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to a specific child, ensuring they can safely and successfully integrate with their peers and navigate their school day.
When not working directly with your assigned student, you will serve as a Classroom Assistant, supporting the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, organized, and engaging environment for all our little learners.
Key Responsibilities

Individualized Support: Provide constant, attentive 1-on-1 supervision and guidance to a child to help them meet developmental and social goals, as indicated by the lead teacher.

Classroom Integration: Help the student participate in group activities, circle time, and transitions.

Teacher Collaboration: Assist the lead classroom teacher with daily activities, classroom setup, and general supervision as needed.

Safety & Care: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and warm environment where every child feels valued.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children

Vulnerable Sector Check: Must have a clear check or be in the process of obtaining one.

First Aid Training: Current First Aid/CPR certification (or a commitment to obtaining it).
