Position Summary
Position Title: Director of Marketing and Communications
Location: Viewmount Branch, 2760 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON (some travel to Himel Branch Vaughan, ON)
Reports to: Head of School
Reports: 2 Communications Officers

Bialik has an exceptional opportunity for a creative and experienced Director of Marketing and Communications. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director is a key member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for planning, developing and implementing innovative communication strategies and materials that support a cohesive and integrated marketing approach across the organization. The Director will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Marketing and Communications plan that aligns with the School’s strategic vision and strengthens their established brand identity.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000.

This position will become vacant at the end of the 2025/2026 school year.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and experiences:

  • More than 10 years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, ideally within nonprofit or educational environments; familiarity with the Toronto Jewish community is an asset.
  • Strategic leadership capability, with a demonstrated ability to think broadly, anticipate organizational needs and translate strategy into clear, actionable plans.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the judgment and credibility to advise senior leadership, including the Head of School, executive team, and Board‑level stakeholders.
  • Proven success designing and implementing innovative, integrated marketing and communications strategies, consistently delivering measurable results that advance organizational priorities.
  • Strong project management expertise with a track record of leading complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Experienced people leader skilled at setting priorities, building high‑performing teams, and creating the conditions for staff to excel.
  • Comfort navigating complex organizations, building relationships across functions, and maintaining a communications approach grounded in operational realities.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and creative platforms.
