Full Time

Director of Lifelong Learning

Holy Blossom Temple 1950 Bathurst Street, Toronto ON

Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto, Canada, is seeking a visionary educator and leader to be our Director of Lifelong Learning. The successful candidate will be committed to transforming Holy Blossom Temple into a thriving hub of multigenerational learning—where curiosity, tradition, and community come together to inspire minds and nurture souls at every stage of life.

As Toronto's first synagogue, founded in 1856, Holy Blossom Temple feels a sense of responsibility to lead the Toronto Jewish community in what we call “aspirational Judaism.” As a flagship congregation of the Reform Movement, we are committed to creating a model of Jewish life which is ever-relevant and relational, serious and joyful.

Our Director of Lifelong Learning will be a leading figure within the Holy Blossom Temple community and will help to shape the culture and direction of our congregation, which has put education at the centre for 170 years.

Holy Blossom Temple is growing larger and growing younger.  We have 1950 member households, with nearly 30% of our congregation joining in the last three years.  Half of them are under the age of 40, including many children and teens in search of meaningful Jewish education and engagement.  Many of our families enroll their children in full-time Jewish day schools and could be further served through enticing opportunities for educational enrichment and congregational connection.  In addition, there are unaffiliated families in our part of the city.  We believe that with the right outreach and educational offerings, they could be drawn into the Holy Blossom Temple community.

With our new Director leading the way, Holy Blossom Temple will elevate formal and informal learning for all our congregants and those who choose to join us.
