Race Relations- How Can We Be Allies?

For the past four years we’ve had the opportunity to explore social
justice topics as a community of Jewish young adults. This year we’ll
confront important issues such as carding, racial profiling, systemic
violence and the role of protest. Journalist and activist Desmond Cole
will help us understand race relations in the GTA and speak to our potential
role as allies.

Desmond Cole is an activist and journalist in Toronto. He is a staff writer
at Torontoist. His work also appears in the Toronto Star, Newstalk1010,
The Walrus, Toronto Life, VICE, NOW Magazine, and Ethnic Aisle.

Cost: $25 (Kashrut will be observed.)

For more information and to register, please visit www.templesinai.net or call
Hayley at 416.487.4161 or email hayley@templesinai.net by Tuesday, December 6.
