From biblical times until today, women have taken on important roles in the Jewish community. Some names are familiar: Deborah the Judge, Henrietta Szold, Prime Minister Golda Meir, Rabbi Sally Priesand, Anat Hoffman etc. Other women’s contributions are not as well publicized. Let’s get to know some less familiar Jewish “women of valour” through their own words and through the writings of others. Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: Members: Free; Non-Members $10 per session.
