In this course, ritual director Lorne Hanick will analyze the meaning, structure and choreography of the weekday, Shabbat and festival services, looking at the exercise routine of prayer in Jewish tradition: what to expect at each type of service, what to bring on which days, what to wear, and the details of when to stand, bow and other physical gestures, when to leave, when not to leave, and what to do when receiving various types of honours.
