On April 18 at 7pm, we will observe Yom HaShoah as a community.
This is one of the most powerful nights of the year. Survivors and children of survivors will share stories and poetry, as will members of the Interfaith Clergy Community. We truly believe that our neighbours need to know about the Shoah and to mourn with us.
The B'nai Mitzvah class of our congregation will help to remember the children who were lost. Music helps to set the mood. Six candles will be lit representing the six million. It is the duty of every Jew to keep the memory of this tragedy alive — those who lived through it will soon be lost to us, but we who knew them must tell their stories. That is what we do at Har Zion.
Please join us and be a part of this important night.
