Striking for Reena is our signature bowling event, now in its 5th year!

The event will take place at Playtime Bowl (33 Samor Road, Toronto). The venue has 48 lanes and bowlers of all ages and skills are welcome. There is no entry fee but each team is asked to set a fundraising target of $1,800.

Striking for Reena is overwhelmingly popular because families, friends and supporters bowl alongside individuals supported by Reena. The individuals look forward to this event with such excitement that many arrive 2 to 3 hours early!

Participants will bowl while enjoying pizza and other fun food, our silent auction and draws for great prizes. Bowlers with developmental disabilities are presented with coveted participation medals and gift bags. Prizes are awarded to the top fundraisers and friendly competition is fierce among the participants as they push to be the top fundraising team.

Striking for Reena proceeds support Reena's Respite and Enrichment Programs such as the Athletic, Bowling and Cooking Programs and Summer, Winter and March Break Camps. For individuals supported by Reena, learning social skills like sharing, patience and manners is vital to being integrated into mainstream activities allowing them to live life with dignity. The programs also provide families with important respite from the 24 hour a day demands of caring for a special needs individual. Families who have benefited from these programs have often referred to them as "life-lines" for their loved one.
