This non-partisan webinar will help community members better understand Toronto’s municipal election and how they can meaningfully participate in the democratic process. Moderated by UJA, the conversation will bring together CIJA and CJPAC to explore the role of municipal government, the importance of races beyond the mayoral election, including the election of 25 city councilors, and why local civic engagement matters. Participants will also learn about practical ways to get involved, from engaging with local candidates to volunteering for candidates of their choosing.
