This showcase is hosted by me, Ryan Zeitz - aka The RyGuy. I am a comedian, peer support worker, and mental health advocate living with Bipolar Disorder and ADHD.
This show is very near and dear to me, because not only is CAMH Canada's largest mental health hospital... It is also the hospital that saved my life. I was admitted to inpatient psychiatric care at CAMH for 7 weeks in the summer of 2020, and even after my discharge, I have continued to receive ongoing care and support, and I wouldn't be where I am today without CAMH. I cannot even begin to repay the immense debt of gratitude that I owe this amazing organization… But this show is my small way of giving back.

Alex Wood has performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs festival 3 times. In 2022 he was featured on CBC’s Comedy Night with Rick Mercer. In 2019 he was a finalist in Sirius XM’s Top Comic. Wood has appeared with some of the biggest names in comedy and has been featured on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, CBC, Sirius XM, and Starz, and had a comedic memoir on sobriety “Float Like a Butterfly, Drink Mint Tea” published with Arsenal Pulp in 2021.
