The Intergenerational Summer Institute is a 5-day experiential learning opportunity in which youth (age 13-16) will work with seniors to design a creative solution to a real-life challenge. The program will be held at Baycrest and will feature workshops led by experts from across the organization. It will include skill-building in design, problem-solving, teamwork, empathy and creativity. The youth and seniors will work together, gain new knowledge, break down age stereotypes, share wisdom, and build community. It is an innovative intergenerational learning opportunity and the first time we’re offering this program.
