Kabbalat Shabbat Service, Dinner and Presentation

You’ve seen him in the news and on TV as an expert commentator on the war in Israel. Now, Yaakov Katz will visit Beth Tzedec as our scholar-in-residence to share his firsthand knowledge from the Israel/Gaza war. What good news is there to share from the current IDF campaign, and what challenges lay ahead? What will be the impact of the recent Supreme Court rulings, and what will happen to the Israeli government? What about the day after the war?

Join us in the Hendeles Chapel or via livestream for our Kabbalat Shabbat Service where Yaakov Katz give a short d'var Torah on the topic "Ethics and Warfare: Paraẖat Mishpatim Today and How Israel Operates in Gaza". Then at the catered Shabbat dinner following, he will give a presentation on "A Nation at War and in Mourning: How October 7 is Changing Israel", concluding with a question and answer session.

Everyone is welcome to the Kabbalat Shabbat service. Dinner is by pre-registration only. Cost for dinner: $48 adults, $28 children 5-13, No charge for children under 4. Limited spaces for dinner; Registration is required by Monday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m.
